Zangfu An Mo: a little-known visceral massage technique in France
A massage that addresses the organs
Zangfu An Mo is a visceral massage technique from Traditional Chinese Medicine. Unlike Tui Na, which primarily works on the meridians and muscles, Zangfu An Mo addresses the internal organs directly — the Zang (solid organs: liver, heart, spleen, lungs, kidneys) and the Fu (hollow organs: stomach, intestines, gallbladder, bladder).
A rare transmission
This technique was passed down to me by Master Cao Guohua, and I am one of the few practitioners carrying on his teaching in France. Master Cao developed a specific approach to abdominal massage that combines diagnostic palpation and treatment in a single gesture.
Who is it for?
Zangfu An Mo is particularly suited for:
- Digestive issues: bloating, reflux, irregular transit, feeling of heaviness
- Emotional tension: the abdomen is often called the “second brain” — in Chinese medicine, each organ is associated with an emotion
- Chronic fatigue: when the Spleen and Stomach aren’t functioning well, the body can no longer produce energy properly
- Overall support: as a complement to other techniques for deep rebalancing
How does a session unfold?
The session lasts 45 minutes. I start by palpating your abdomen to identify zones of tension, cold, or heat. I then work in depth, with slow and precise pressure, to restart circulation in the organs and release stagnations.
It’s not a painful massage, but it can be intense. Most patients feel an immediate effect on their digestion and a sensation of lightness in the hours that follow.
